Set PermaLink in Wapka Site

In this tutorial, I will show you how you can set permalink or more SEO friendly links in your wapka site. After this tutorial, you will be able to set site_1.xhtml and similar sites to site_downloads or site_games etc. So, lets get started.
Follow these steps to set SEO friendly PermaLink in your wapka sites.

1. Login to your free wapka account.

2. Goto "Admin Mode"

3. Add new Page via ES -> NEW PAGE -> write/select these while creating the page
a. Site name: Downloads
b. Align: left
c. Font Style: none
d. Display after submit: Select Title Setting
e. Place item in front of: Select --- at the top
f. WAP2 style class: none
g. Join this item with previous: Leave as it is.
h. Item will be visible for: All users
i. Item protection (login access): Free Acces
j. Hot Key: none
k. Click Submit

4. After clicking the submit button you will see the Title Changing page. In this page do the following
a. Title name*: Downloads
b. URL (site_931.html)**: In this field write what you wanna use in permalink, for example. if you want site_downloads then simply write "downloads" in this field. Allowed chars are "a-z,0-9,-,_".
c. click Edit Title

5. You are done, now you can access your page via site_downloads.xhtml instead of site_0.xhtml which is not user friendly.. You can even change permalink for already added pages as well. I will write tutorial on it in separate post.

Enable Fast Acces To ::Edit Site:: Functions in Wapka

In this wapka tutorial, I will show you how you can enable fast access to ::Edit Site:: functions so that you can access all ::edit site:: functions as fast as never before. Let do it.
This helps you to get to the ::Edit Site:: functions with one click. After you enabled this in your site you will see this drop down menu (See Screenshot) to access all the :Edit Site:: functions in one click.

 You need to do these steps to enable fast access to edit site functions.

1. Login to your free wapka account
2. Goto Settings
3. Find the following text magnified in picture below
4. Now check the checkbox against "Allow fast Access To edit function" and click "change settings" button at the end.
5. Now you have added it to your site, goto the admin mode and check if its added.

Add Free Email Sender Tool to Your Wapka site

In this tutorial, we are going to add free email sender tool (or whatever you call it) to our wapka site. It will allow your users to send free emails right from your wapka site with your own email address and much much more features. Lets do it.

First I should explain what we are going to do and what will be the benefits of this. At starting, lets talk about the Free Email sender API that I am using for this tutorial.

The free email sender API is the tool created by external site owner to allow users to add forms to their sites and send free emails to anyone, and on anytime of the day. The API is free of cost and will never be charged. Some of the features of this API are as following..

• You will have to add simple form to your site and all the hasske if coding will be done by the API owner website.
• Your users will feel that they are using the tool in your own site. I mean fully white labeled API.
• If someone sending pranks emails or any other such cases, users will be able to ban that user from sending them emails. It can't bee reversed for now though.
• Many many such other features have been introduced.

Now lets begin our tutorial and add this wonderful Free Email Sender API to our wapka sites.

1. Login to your free wapka account. (There is new passport feature in wapka, use that for login.)
2. Now click on site link at the bottom under [Site List], if you have not created then create new site as per need.
3. you will see the main page of wapka with links to admin mode and others. Just click on "admin mode" to goto admin mode to add this free email sender API.
4. Now we will create new page for this email sender API. Click :: EDIT SITE (#) :: > New page
5. New Page with page creation form will be displayed, name this page as FREE EMAIL SENDER, click submit button to add the page or in other words create the page.
6. Now click on created page link, we just created in step 5.
7. Now Click :: EDIT SITE (#) :: > Text and new text in our new created page. In text write the following text. and after that click submit button to add this.
   Sorry, could not send email. There was an error. Please try again.
8. Now add another text following step 7, but this time write th following text
    Thank you, email sent successfully... 
9. Now click :: EDIT SITE (#) :: > Users > Items visibility > now click g c t l p uagainst the created text in step 7 > click URL GET variable > in displayed form set the following values and after that click the submit button to set the item visibility on variables.
   Display item if URL : GET
   variable: : get-res
   is : [=] is equal
   than value: error
10. Again follow the step 9, but this time do following. Click  g c t l p u against the text we created in step 8 > click URL GET variable > in displayed form set the following values and after that click the submit button to set the item visibility on variables.
    Display item if URL : GET
    variable: : get-res
    is : [=] is equal
    than value: sent

At this moment we have created the base page for our Free Email Sender tool. Now in the following part we will get our free email sender API form and key from wap-server.com. Lets do it.

1. Goto wap-server.com
2. Create your free account, http://wap-server.com/register.html. It will take 2 min to create your account.
3. Login to your free account at wap-server.com
4. After login goto View Cpanel > Developers > Free Email Sender API > There you will find some info and a form to create your API. Lets fill out the form.
1. First field is email to use, in this email provide the email that will be used to send emails from, for example, user A send email then in the header of email your email will be displayed as the host email or Sender through email.
2. Next field is Error URL, in this field you will have to provide the error url of your site to let the user know that email is not sent. We have created this error url in PART 1-Step 7. So we will just right in the field, here is an example.
   http://XXXXX.wapka.mobi/site_YYY.xhtml?get-res=error
   Now change XXXXX with your own wapka site name, YYY with the site id where you have added the text in 7,8 steps of part 1 above.
3. Next field is similar to the above but in this field you will have to write th success URL, so users get to know that email has been sent. Here is the URL to write in this field.
    http://XXXXX.wapka.mobi/site_YYY.xhtml?get-res=sent
   Now change XXXXX with your own wapka site name, YYY with the site id where you have added the text in 7,8 steps of part 1 above.
4. Click the activate button, and if every things goes right, you will have to activate your mail address by verification.
5. After that you will be able to verified the email, you will see the page where you will find code to add in your site, its HTML code and easy to add, in this code you will see API keys and many other things, please remember those for better experience.
6. Now we have got the codes to add in our site, we will goto wapka page where we have added texts in part 1 step 7 and 8. we will add another code via :: EDIT SITE (#) :: > WML/XHTML code > in the textarea field write the code we just got in step 5 of this part. Click submit button to add the code.
7. Thats it. We have successfully added the script and now our users can send free emails, right from our sites.

Show Different Items to Logged and Non-Logged Users in Wapka

In this tutorial, I will teach you to add text, links, pictures and many other stuff visible to logged or non-logged users in wapka. So, if user is logged-in He/She will see welcome user and if he is not logged, will see register and login links.
This tutorial is aimed to teach newbies the function of registration in wapka. So, after this tutorial newbies will be able to hide links and more from non-logged users and also non-logged users can only see stuff/content for them.

Let me explain it with an example. You wanted to show login, register links with "Welcome to the site Guest" to non-legged user but not to logged ones. Similarly, you wanted to show the text "Welcome back UserName" with logout and profile link to the logged user but not to the non-logged user in  wapka.

If example fits your need then you are at right place for the tutorial to do something similar to the example in  wapka. Let do it in minutes. :)

Follow the following steps.

1. Login to your free wapka account.
2. In wapka passport page, click on SiteURL under "Site List" where you wanna add this functionality.
3. Now in next page, click "Admin Mode" and goto admin mode of your site.
4. Create New Page via ES > New Page > Name it "User Test" > clicksubmit button at the end of form to add the page.
5. Open the created page in step 4, and add do the following steps in this wapka page.
1. Goto ES > WML/XHTML code > do the following steps on the displayed form.
1. In first textbox, add the following code.
   Welcome Guest, <a href=":url-site-XXX:">Login</a> or <a href=":url-reg:">Create Account</a><br><br><br>
2. Display this code in: leave it as it is.
3. Align:  set its alignment, I prefer to set right.
   
4. Display after submit: Leave it as it is
5. Place WML code in front of: Select position of the code from already added items.
6. WAP2 style class: Whatever CSS class you wanna use.
7. Join this item with previous: If its checked, <div> tags outside of item will be removed.
8. Item will be visible for: Now in this option select Non-logged users.
9. Click submit to add the text and links.
2.  Goto ES > WML/XHTML code > do the steps 5.1.1 to 5.1.9 but in step5.1.1 we have added the text and links for the non-logged users, now this time we will add text and links for the logged user. in step 5.1.1 instead of that text add this one.
   Welcome user, <a href=":url-usr-logout:">LogOut</a> | <a href=":url-usr-myprofile:">Profile</a>
6. Thats it, we have added the text for logged and non-logged users.

Now, after this tutorial newbies in  wapka should be able to write/add different text and items for logged and non-logged users with ease and power. :)

Promote Your Wapka Website With Android App

Have you used wapka app for android phones and tablets to promote your wapka website in app markets? Is it worth the cost? Read more on this topic to get some interesting tips and tricks on promotion of this app + how to get this app.
Today, though its not kind of a tutorial but its about wapka app for android phones and tablets for your lovely website. Do you know, you can download app and use it on your android finger tips to surf your website content? You will need android smart-phone for this though. :) The plus point here is that you can upload your android app on Google Play or other markets! Pretty nice. :)

You can get wapka app by logging into wapka account then going to your site management (whichever you would like to create app for) and clicking the app named as "Android APP". But wait.... You need to write name for app (which can not be changed in future). After clicking submit button you will see app created at the bottom of the page for you.

You will have two options at the bottom after creating app.
1. A download link
2. Test link to test app. You can goto this link to test your app before promoting.

I tried both and instead of showing app I could see the message "If you see this page, the package of App will be generated in 10 seconds. Please refresh after 10 seconds." only. If refreshed, I did not see anything. :( But scenario could be different for you. (Might be download able and testable via android phone)

If you succeeded to test app, you will find that a default content manager menu will show up where users can surf and download files. Why default?? Why we could not change its themes or styles or even add some messages and more. This app needs to be updated with all such features.

If you have tested this app, do post your review over it. In my case its not working though I have android tab too. :( Never the less,its great addition in wapka to promote in android markets. :)

• For redefined values (select menu) use following shape of variable ::var-N(text1;text2;text3)::
• For example:    Gender: <br/> ::var-4(male;female):: 
• You can use also this format of variable: ::var-N('value1'>'text1';'value2'>'text2')::

valueN is stored in database, but user see in select menu textN

• Instead of redefined values you can set maximal length of the text:

Note:- ::var+N:: is same as ::var-N:: with little difference: if you insert + instead of -, value will be mandatory.

At first you have to open/have a Wapka site. If you dont have Register Now ! . Then enter www.dot.tk and complete Registration. Now just follow these steps-

 

1. Enter My dot tk > Domain Panel > Add Domain

2. Enter your Desired Domain Name in the Box and click Add Domain.

3. Then put your Domain forwarding link.E.G.-http://name.wapka.mobi

4. Click Use DNS for this Domain
5.Then click Use my Own DNS Service
6. Then put just like this :
