Oru Soappetty Katha is a flimsy attempt at celebrating friendship. Two youngsters work as marketing executives and their seemingly peaceful life is soon riddled with a set of problems ranging from debts to unexpected murder. In between, incoherent dialogues are stitched together to convey the emotional despair of characters who are subjected to utter misery and then come back to wreak vengeance.

For more than one reason, it lives up to its tagline: everything cliche. Complexity is woven into a simple narrative in a crude manner, further spoilt by some amateurish acts on screen. The plot, though short is almost over-packed with everything - songs, romance, betrayal, intrigue, murder and revenge. However, none of them ever achieving the effect they are meant for.
